Saravanan "Surya" Sivakumar (born on 23 July 1975), popularly known as Surya,is an Indian actor in the Tamil film industry. He is the son of Tamil actor Sivakumar and is married to Jyothika Saravanan, a popular former Tamil actress. He is well-known for his versatile roles in various films. He starred in several noted films such as Nandha, Kaakha Kaakha, Ghajini, Perazhagan, Pithamagan and Vaaranam Aayiram.

Surya's father is the renowned veteran Tamil actor Sivakumar. He is the eldest of three children, younger brother being the award-winning actor Karthik Sivakumar and a younger sister named Brindha, who is married to an industrialist named Sivakumar.

Surya went to the Prestigious St. Bede's School in Chennai. He graduated from Loyola College with a B.Com and worked for a few years in the garment industry, before foraying into the film industry. He is a good friend to popular Tamil film actor Joseph Vijay who was his classmate in college.

He married actress Jyothika Saravanan on September 11, 2006 in a star-studded, traditional wedding ceremony at the Park Sheraton Hotel in Chennai. The couple is widely recognized as an extremely popular celebrity couple in South India. Their daughter Diya was born on August 10, 2007.

Siddharth Narayan Biography

Siddharth was born in Chennai. He studied in the D.A.V School, Gopalapuram, Chennai and at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi. He got his B.Com (Honors) degree from Kirori Mal College, New Delhi. Siddharth was popularly known as "Sidy" in school and college, and was part of the reputed theatre group of the college The Players. His first solo lead role was the role of Santosh in the Telugu film Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (2005) opposite Trisha Krishnan, which was commercially successful.

In 2006, he was chosen to play "Karan", one of the protagonists in the Hindi movie Rang De Basanti, which released in January 2006 . He then scripted a Telugu film "Chukkallo Chandrudu" which was received well by critics. He followed this with "Bommarillu" in Telugu which is among the highest grossing Telugu films of all time. He has worked with director Vishal Bhardwaj and Oscar winning Lensman Guillermo Navarro on a short film titled "Blood Brothers" which screened at the Toronto film festival. He has completed filming his second Hindi film titled "Striker" directed by Chandan Arora.

Siddharth's new film has been titled "Oy!" to be directed by first timer Anand Ranga. Siddharth has already filming for "Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam" directed by another debutant Dolly Kishore.

He is reported to be dating Soha Ali Khan.

Rajinikanth born  Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, December 12, 1950 is one of the most influential and bankable movie stars in the Indian film industry, specifically the Tamil film industry. He lost his mother at the age of five. He did his schooling at the Acharya Paathshala in Bangalore (N.R.Colony) and then at the Vivekananda Balaka Sangha.
