X Factor voting figures revealed: Marcus Collins NEVER topped the public vote!

Marcus Collins was gracious in defeat last night and while he should be extremely proud that he ended up in 2nd place - people in 2nd often go on to do well so it's not all bad - it's kind of surprising to learn that not once during the entire series did Marcus actually top the public vote. Shocked? We are.

The breakdown of X Factor 2011 votes has just been released and it makes for some pretty interesting reading.

Despite crashing out of the competition in week 8 when she forgot her words, Janet Devlin was the firm favourite right from the start after receiving the most public votes for the first four weeks on the trot.

Amelia Lily came top on week 6 and it wasn’t until week 7 that Little Mix started to win the viewers over. Amelia Lily was back on top the following week and then the final three shows went to Little Mix. No sign of Marcus anywhere.

And there was us thinking he was the one to beat. It just goes to show eh…

The X Factor 2011 voting breakdown:
