New Delhi: The beauty and wellness industry is growing at a rate of 20 percent, but at the same time people in the business face several challenges. At the two-day India Salon Pro and Beauty Market India 2012, a first of its kind in the country, the professionals are all set to discuss the problems and look for solutions.

The two-day business-to-business event will take place in Mumbai Jan 31-Feb 1.

"The beauty industry in India is growing at the rate of 20 percent and even though the industry is booming there are a lot of difficulties faced by the retailers and people from this industry," Ritoo Jha, assistant publisher, Images group told reporters at a press meet here Monday.

"We feel there is still a lot of gap between the consumers and the industry. We would like to discuss all these issues under one roof to see what can be done to make this sector more organised," she added.

The event is organised by the Images group, a business-to-business magazine group, and is supported by the National Hair and Beauty Association (NHBA) and All India Beauty Specialists and Hair Dressers Association (AIBHA).

At the two-day event, the focus will be on the growth of beauty segment in India, how spa culture is growing and what is the difference between the growth of the health and the beauty segment.

Apart from seminars and conference, there will be workshops, hair and make-up shows and awards and the event will also see leading brands, salon owners, hairdressers, make-up artists and distributors from India as well as abroad coming together under one roof.
