Washington: Self-proclaimed ‘nerds’ from California have come up with a video, which offers tips to guys on how to get a girl’s phone number, convince her to go out on a date or even to get her home.
Jesse Jhaj, Jason Roberts and Kong Pham have uploaded videos on their ‘Simple Pickup’ YouTube channel, which has already racked up tens of thousands of hits.
According to Pham, working up the nerve to talk to girls starts with conquering what he calls those “b—- butterflies.”
“B—- butterflies” are the one-two punch many men feel in the stomach when they’re around an attractive girl and trying to work up the initiative to talk to her, ABC News reported.
In of the videos titled ‘Scared of Talking to Girls? – Simple Tips’, Pham has given several advices to guys like don’t lie to yourself, don’t be afraid to fail, talk about things you want to talk about, talk about anything, don’t memorize lines or weird routines and ‘B—- Butterflies’ never go away, but eventually gets easier.
Pham suggests guys not to make excuses for being too afraid to go up to a girl, as he believes that “B—- butterflies” are a normal feeling, especially if a guy is new to the dating scene, but at the same time it is vital for guys to realize to that this is a completely irrational fear.
He also recommends to think of picking up girls as a “No Risk, High Reward” situation. He says that if a guy goes up to a girl and says, ‘Hi,’ and the girl rejects him, then nobody loses. But if she does like the guy, then a connection is indeed established.
“Then you could potentially get a wife, get a girlfriend, or just get laid,” Pham said.
He also said that it does not matter how involved a girl is in the conversation.
“It doesn’t matter if she is into the conversation or not, as long as you’re having fun. That’s the most important aspect.”
“Once you approach picking up girls from the ‘I’m going to fail’ mind-set it takes a lot of the pressure off.”
Pham also suggests guys to talk about nonsense, nonstop if necessary, asking the girl about her favourite vegetable, whether she likes raisin bread, her favourite colour of leaves — then ask for her phone number.
“The reason you run out of things to say is because you’re nervous.”
“From now on, practice talking about nonsense when you forget what to say, and eventually this problem will auto-correct itself.”
“Don’t try to script a conversation. Girls will know you are faking it. Instead, just try to have fun with it and enjoy your failures until you get better,” he added.
