Great grandson of the bollywood pioneers Prithviraj Kapoor and grandson of legendry Raj Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor is the son of actor Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor (Neetu Singh). He was born to be a star. He has also got a sister called Riddhima Kapoor. Before getting into the limelight Ranbir used to assist Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the making of Black (2005). He made his first appearance in the big screen in 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariyaa opposite Sonam Kapoor. The film failed to do well at the box office, though his performance was largely appreciated.  Ranbir was then seen in Siddharth Anand's romantic comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008) alongside Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba and Deepika Padukone. The film performed reasonably well at the box office. In 2009 his film Ajab prem Ki Ghazab Kaahani opposite Katrina Kaif made roars at the box office. His performance in Prakash Jha's Raajneeti (2011) also did an excellent business at the box office. In 2011 Ranbir did an item number in Salman Khan's Chillar Party. Presently he finished shooting for Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar (2011) and is presently shooting for Anurag Basu's Barfee (2011). Personal Life: Reports on his link-ups and affairs with several actresses has been read. In 2008 he made an official announced that he was dating Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone. Later the couple broke up in 2009. Then it was heard that he was dating Katrina Kaif during the shooting of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani but they never made it official.
